DannyGreen continues to affirm its position in the agricultural industry by officially achieving Japanese organic certification JAS (Japanese Agricultural Standards). This is one of the most stringent organic standards in the world, managed by the Japanese Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, to ensure the quality and safety of agricultural products.

What is Japanese Organic Certification – JAS?

JAS standards (Japanese Agricultural Standards) are standards used in organic agriculture in Japan, under the management of the Japanese Ministry of Agriculture. This organic standard includes many regulations on criteria for products and labels to help consumers make choices easily.

Product items listed in the JAS Standards have separate regulations for each type and quality labeling standards will be affixed to all tested products.

Basic requirements of JAS organic standards:

• Organic soil: absolutely do not use agricultural chemicals or chemical fertilizers for at least 2-3 years. Do not use agricultural chemicals or organic fertilizers during production.
• Fertilizer: use organic fertilizer from excess products in the area, using the functions of microorganisms in the area or surrounding areas.
• Seeds and plants: use organic seeds and plants, strictly prohibit the use of genetically modified seeds and plants in production.
• Control of harmful flora and fauna: using mechanical, physical, biological measures or a combination to prevent hazards. The use of chemicals to prevent hazards is only allowed when the threat is imminent and when the above measures are ineffective.
• Livestock industry: does not use available foods or growth stimulants for livestock. The farming and care process needs to be strictly followed according to regulations.
